THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS:

James 1:13. Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted of God", for God cannot be tempted with evil doing, neither tempteth he any man. But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.

Devil, father of lies, liar from beginning, a superstition no reality. Jesus did not kill Satan, nothing to kill, no reality. Give no place nor power to the devil.

Personal desire tempted him. Three classes of temptation, supply, personal protection, personal dominion.

Fasting, the attitude of meditation and concentration upon Truth which frees us from personal opinions and personal beliefs. Jesus worked out the problem of personality. Jesus fasted forty days. Forty is one of the numbers in the Bible which we can take to mean a finished condition, or the completion of a certain process in development,
