that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. The Christ in us is the glory --- we have used his personal name instead of his power. Those who were nearest Jesus phrased it "to as many as believed on Him gave He power to become the sons of God." They thought of it as something bestowed rather than revealed.

LETTER OF JAMES ---

Epistle of James - p. 393

James, brother of our Lord, an Apostle, had the oversight of the church at Jerusalem (Acts 15:13) where he remained until his death.

The epistle is remarkable for its eminently practical nature and for the homeliness and aptness of its illustrations. It was probably written near the close of James' life, and is addressed to the whole "twelve tribes" scattered abroad.

James 1:

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Dual belief. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and --- from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. Be ye doers of the word,
