Epistle of Jude - p. 401

Jude, "brother of James," is supposed to be the Apostle (surnamed Thaddaeus and Lebbaeus) and a brother of Jesus. Matt. 10:3, 13:55, and Luke 6:16.

The epistle is remarkable for the quotation of an otherwise unrecorded saying of Enoch, verse 14, and a tradition of a dispute between Michael, the archangel, and Satan regarding the body of Moses, verse 9. Its date, place and occasion are unknown, but it seems to denounce the same false teachers as those rebuked in II Peter 2, and in very similar language warning them by the examples of the fallen angels of Cain, the impenitent in the times of Noah, of the wicked cities of the plain, of Korah, and Balaam.

Jude, verses 20 and 21 --- "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourselves in the love of God --- unto eternal life."

Revelation - p. 401

The Bible illustrates in various ways the separation of the soul from its Source, the turning of thought from Spirit to a belief in something outside of Spirit. This wandering out of the way of understanding has led thought out of consciousness of Life and Truth.
