Impious priests rebuked. "Have we not all one Father, hath not one God created us?"

Refers to office that John the Baptist fulfilled in Matt. 11:10, Mark 1:2. Anything that becomes a messenger to our souls of the Christ within is this fulfillment. Matt. 3:2, 3, 6, 10 all .refer to John the Baptist.

"All that do wickedly" the wicked deed is to be destroyed.

"But unto you that fear (reverence) my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings."

Compare 11:14, 17:11, 12, 13. All refer to John the Baptist.

The spirit of Elias' message was represented by John the Baptist.
