fruit apart from God, the Infinite Source, than
can a branch severed from the vine.
And the tree of Life in the midst of the garden
stands for the truth that one life is in the midst
of every living thing; that everything planted in
Eden has being in God and that everything that
lives is in harmonious relation with every other
thing, and all are at-one with God.
We live in a realm of law and order. The
knowledge of the tree of life is the knowledge of
this Truth, that the whole is God, and also the
knowledge lint to depart from this truth of the omnipresence of God is evil or ignorance. This
wonderful truth has been set forth in this allegory
that we might look to the primal subject, our basis, God and His expression. When we do this,
we do not judge from observation.
The written testimony of the truth of God's
garden planted eastward in Eden is one of Life,
and will forever remain a mystery to those who
have not learned the truth of Being and the Law
of Expression.
Eden stands for the whole of God, potentiality
and power, in the light of intelligence, the pure
knowledge that illumines all; the knowledge that
knows what is to be, now; knows that there is no
power in opposition to Being. The tree of knowledge stands side by side with the tree of Life in
the midst of the garden; its office is Judgment of
