Luke 10:1-16

Seventy disciples are instructed and sent out, besides the twelve named in Matt. 10:1-5, Mark 6:7-11, Luke 9:1-5.

Jesus goes to Jerusalem; at the feast of tabernacles. He reproves his kinsmen, his brothers, for they did not believe in him. About the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. "My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me. If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh His glory that sent him (the Spirit of Truth), the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him." He then tells them, "Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law?"

"Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but He that sent me (the Spirit of Truth) is true, whom ye know not." Many of the people believed on him and the Pharisees and chief priests sent officers to take him, but Jesus was not ready to be taken yet, his work was not finished. In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried, saying, "If any man thirst let him come unto me and drink." John 4:14. "Whoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him, shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of
