the promised land; and we can now see that to claim special individual power is a false belief which must perish before the soul enters into spiritual consciousness, Canaan. The belief of individual power to bring forth the Light and Truth to the people is a mistake that belongs to less than perfect understanding. Isaiah declares, "The leaders of this people have caused them to err, and they that are led of them are destroyed."

It is claimed today that no one can go higher, or beyond, his leader. True, so we need to choose carefully what shall lead us and this lesson seems to come to us also from this history of Israel, for not only did not Moses enter Canaan, but we read

Num. 32: 11

in the words of the Lord that "None of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land, because they have not wholly followed me; save Caleb and Joshua, for they have wholly followed the Lord."

We see also the danger to those that are led, for they are likely to forget the True Invisible and Omnipresent Power that is in all; because of their adherence to limited power in personality they cannot come into their own possibilities.

The plea for the necessity of a personal leader is made today from this history of Israel. "We need," it is said, "a leader such as Moses was to the Israelites." Are we going backward? We have had Moses, and later one greater than
