as soon as it can be received, and all the teaching received from another is simply preparatory to the Divine guidance from within. Each must become strong enough to walk alone.
In all ages, there have been great spiritual leaders among men, and although a necessity, it is a sign of weakness and not of strength, so it is written, "For the day cometh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel; I will put my laws into their minds, and write them in their hearts. And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all shall know me from the least to the greatest."
Covenant of which Jesus was the exponent.
Moses represents the law giver who comes to that development which must be governed by something outside of itself. Such a leader does not have place in more advanced understanding.
True consciousness is not led by anything less than Absolute Truth, Impersonal Light and Wisdom received within each soul. Moses was a necessity to spiritual thought in its first emergence from bondage, and in the wilderness journey which followed.
While thought cannot stay itself upon Divine Presence and Power, because it is not realized as substantial Truth that is all and in all, it looks to find a representative of that Truth, but in doing so leans upon something less than the Perfect
