Amos 8: 9

Thus it is written, "It shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day." Accept the thought that man is spiritual and not material, that he is centered in God, is in the very midst of Fulness and has a right to all good, he has been given perfect freedom and infinite supply; he is granted without asking, perfect strength; all things are his if he will only accept all things.

Suppose, then, you see this one so fully endowed acting like a slave instead of an heir, imagine him groaning with pain, despondent from a sense of lack and need, burdened with care and anxiety, suffering from poverty and fear, lacking all good, would you not exclaim, with the Master, "How is it that ye do not understand? Having eyes, ye see not; and having ears, ye hear not?" When thought, in its blindness, sees no help in Spirit, cannot see the Source within, where shall it turn for its supply but to the external? Thus
