intelligence flows out through the firmament, or individual Divine mentality, into visibility.

The greater light stands for the self-illumination expressed by the Christ in the words of living light, "I and my Father are one" --- the true intelligence of God illuminating creation.

The lesser light stands for the knowing capacity of the expressed creation, pure intellect in which knowledge of self is expressed. "I am before I am manifested," is a statement of innate knowledge and the manifestation of that I am in the light that I let shine.

"I am the light of the world," means I am eternal intelligence, and what I am is made manifest in the world of living things.

To rule the day is to Be the eternal life which lets shine.

To rule the night is to Be that perfect expression of life in everything that is looked upon. Seeing that innate knowledge is expressed in every part of the body, and in every form, is both the rule of the day and the rule of the night; this is true use of reason and judgment, and is evidence "Of my body broken for you."

Ps. 104:

The two great lights hold the same relation to each other as do Infinite Mind and mentality, as do God and heaven; or the universal and the individual; the same relationship as do the first day and the second day.
