GENESIS.

D. We must be in sympathy with, or in understanding of, the soul of things before there is light upon them. The evening of the second day means the mingling of God and heaven with earth, and the morning is the birth of the light of this truth in earth as it is in heaven. Thus His will is done in earth as it is done in heaven.

Gen. 1: 9

"And God said let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let the dryland appear; and it was so." Simultaneous with the birth of light --- pure intelligence of God through heaven by creative action, the waters under the heavens are gathered together into one place and dry land appears. When God gathers the waters together, the elements of His manifest substance into one place, there is form. And it is eternally so; it is never otherwise. This is the first mention of the appearance of form.

Gen. 1: 10

"And God called the dry land earth; and the gathering together of the waters called He seas: and God saw that it was good." To call the dry land " earth, " is to come forth and be present within the earth; and to call the gathering together of the waters "seas," is to be in the act of forming
