mood, or the period of concentrative quiet, and leaves a lasting effect for good. These thoughts are beyond the recipient's range of experience. From whence then do they come? Some of the thoughts contained within the covers of this book are beyond logic or deduction. No one ever told them to me. So far as I know no one knows some of them. Where then did I get them? When first the thought came that inspiration was common to mankind and that every one was constantly in touch with God through mind it frightened me. It seemed like blasphemy to my Methodist mind. Especially since it revealed the source of power of Jesus, and by deduction made Him as one of us. Having been taught to look upon Him as a begotten Son of God and upon myself as a sinful worm, the shock upset me and I refused to go on in such a line of thought, fearing it was some trick of Satan to snare my soul.
