"Evolution is better than Revolution. New Thought Library's New Thought Archives encompass a full range of New Thought from Abrahamic to Vedic. New Thought literature reflects the ongoing evolution of human thought. New Thought's unique inclusion of science, art and philosophy presents a dramatic contrast with the magical thinking of decadent religions that promulgate supersticions standing in the way of progress to shared peace and prosperity." ~ Avalon de Rossett

need more character. We do not need more government: we need more culture. We do not need more law: we need more religion."1
Even though we appear only vaguely aware of our divine possibilities, the world is on the eve of the greatest spiritual revival it has ever had; and not just a revival of religious convictions,2 but a revival of spiritual realities. After having passed through an age of scientificism, when people were afraid of being thought fools, unless they could give what seemed like a logical answer to everything, we are now witnessing a strange phenomenon in the evolution of thought and intelligence. Many of our leading scientific minds, having apparently analyzed the material universe to a vanishing point, are beginning to consider the spiritual and mental as being real.3 Marvelous as the previous age has been, its material frontier is falling into a state of collapse. Objective empire has pushed us as far as it can go without the invisible; and we are just entering a period of discovery on a new frontier, which will not collapse or exhaust itself. Instead of coming to a point of exhaustion, we continue to arrive at new points of expansion.
1. We can see from this quote that Coolidge suffered from a mental disconnection failing to connect the importance of intelligence and compassionate wisdom to success. New Millennial Scientists have revealed the correlation between the failure of past civilizations after their leaders proclaim: "We need more religion". This correlation can easily be observed in the overwhelming decadence throughout the Middle East which has eschewed humanist education in favor of "madrases" which focus on reading the Koran. The most robust cultures at the advent of the New Millennium were those with strong civil society rooted within laws based on Human Rights. Those cultures with laws rooted within religion demonstrate ongoing high levels of conflict. Beware of political leaders calling for more religion. We know from history and experience that this has never worked anywhere in the world, at any time in history. Coolidge died at age 60, three years after leaving office.
2. A religious revival was taking place at this time across America through a new form of Christianity called Fundamentalism. This along with Father Coughlin's right wing radio broadcasts pushed an antisemitic fascist agenda under the guise of "Social Justice" while railing against President Roosevelt and his New Deal programs whch promoted a "level headed centrist approach to governance with regulation of banking and commerce aimed at protecting the common man."
3. Scientists have since confirmed: physics mirrors metaphysics; the mind-body connection; the epigenetic connection between conditions, consciousness and evolution and more. Instead of invalidating science, these discoveries have confirmed the place of science in civil society. New Thought of the New Millennium integrates Science with Spirituality promoting higher thought as the means to create a more compassionate world for all beings.
Readers must ask themselves: What religion do we need more of? What is difference between religion and spriituality? What is "Social Justice?" What is the difference between pushing a "Social Justice" agenda versus supporting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and working for the benefit of all living beings?
