recognition. We must be sure to incorporate in each treatment the realization that all people are surrounded by a perfect wisdom which guides them --- a universal law of good which protects them. If there is any reason to suppose that they doubt this, we must seek so to form our treatment as to overcome their doubt.

In successful mental treatment the belief which causes the trouble must be changed, and a realization of peace and poise established. There are certain underlying fears which are common to most people --- the fear of pain, suffering, poverty, death, of the future and the hereafter, the fear of being misunderstood, and what we might call the fear of the world. These fears practitioners must neutralize, by establishing the consciousness of the one we are helping in the realization that there is nothing to be afraid of, since there is a Universal Intelligence which governs, guides and directs. This Intelligence is Goodness.

The mind must come to sense that life is good, that there is nothing to fear. It must be open to the higher realms of consciousness where the spiritual sun is forever shining. Then automatically the mind will become illumined; it is the mind which governs the lower principles of life. When our minds are governed by the Truth everything which we do will be governed by the Truth, and who is there so far from the nature of Reality as to deny such a Divine government?
