Schin (verses 161-168). The knowledge of the Divine Word is like finding a great treasure (verse 162). “The Word” is primarily the Principle of Intelligence in the Universal Mind, since the speaking of Words implies Reason and Intelligence. The fact that this Intelligence is (from our point of view) subconscious does not affect its Power of Understanding. The recognition of “the Word” is therefore the answer to the question put by the “ungodly,” those who do not know God, “is there knowledge in the most High? “ (Ps. LXXIII: II). It is to this aspect of the Universal Spirit that we should wish to address ourselves, and it is this aspect which St. John tells us is “the Son.” We get at the Divine Power (original, generating), i.e., “the Father,” through the Universal Intelligence, i.e., “the Son”: and the personal realization of this power in ourselves is thus “the spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son.”

The “Law” (verses 163, 165) is “the Father “== Love Attraction the One Law. The “Word” is “the Son,” making use of this Law. If we do not conceal our Way from God, we would work with the Father and the Son by the Spirit (verse 168).
