Life-Spirit, and the Right Attitude towards The Spirit is Joy (verses 1 and 2) Verses 4 and 5 are full of occult meaning. Note the distinction between “ the Earth,” or the “the Dry’” and “the Sea.” Also the distinction between “the Deep places” and “the Hills” = Intelligence and Aspiration, implying correlative Inspiration. The deep places of the Earth as distinguished from the sea indicate the control over the Outermost, or Material, Plane.” Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” --- the meek, because they allow Time for Growth, and are not hurried on by passion and impatience. “He that believeth shall not make haste.” This principle (the Rock) is “our maker,” i.e., the Builder of the whole Temple in all its Courts (planes). and therefore becomes our own God personally (versus 6 and 7). We are the correlative --- sheep, people, i.e., multiplicity, each being a Hand. This being the case we now see the force of the word “hand” in verses 4 and 5. Note that it is “the Earth “ and “the Dry”- “that is formed by” the Hands,” i.e., through Water; while regarding “the Sea” it said that He made it, and it is His (i.e., as distinguished from the Hands). The depth, beauty, and strength of the teaching are wonderful. The time for this is always present (verse 7) It is error, want of understanding that produces inverted action (verse 10) --- the result of ‘which is failure to enter into Rest.

Rest is the Natural Result of Uprightness.
