because of complete trust in omnipotent Good. A large percentage of diseases rise from fears, either conscious or latent. Especially is this manifest among children, who are often thoughtlessly frightened with hobgoblin stories, and untrue threats of harm, and cruel tricks of the ignorant parents who little know that they are sowing the seeds of the disease that may bereave their household. Every child should learn the protecting presence of God to keep it from all injury and harm.

“He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.”

All the animal world is harmless before true love and fearlessness. Truth forms an aura of protection about its devotee more impenetrable than walls of stone. It is authentic history that many of the early Christians could not be made the prey of the hungry lions and tigers turned loose upon them, but some beasts would even go and lie down at the feet of those lovers of God like domestic animals to which the savage instinct is foreign. It was by this law that Daniel was delivered from the lions. The rattlesnake will never strike where there is freedom from both fear and harmfulness.
