The mark that the Lord sets upon Cain lest any finding him should slay him, is a heavenly sign of protection. The mark is understanding or knowledge of Truth. He, man, represents all possibilities of growth in knowledge and understanding of the Omnipresence of God and himself as the expression of all that God is; yet he dwelt in the land of Nod, wandering land or flight.
