Determined to look at life

I know, oh, so well! how the heart
yearns, how the days drag, how the
nights torture, when one gives way* to the
despair of death, but I also know, dear
friends, how a mind DETERMINED TO LOOK AT LIFE and not death, at reality not
seeming, CAN BE THE CONQUEROR, not the
conquered.

I know, too, how hard it is to break
away from thoughts, brooding and tender, of the loved one, yet it MUST BE
DONE, if you would win the victory, and
be the brave helpmeet of God that you
should be.

The beneficence of death

For when you can carry out in your
faith and life God's great intention concerning the BENEFICENCE OF DEATH YOU will indeed be as a "light set upon a
hill" not only to those who are still walking in the valley of the shadow of death
