the walking personification of that idea, and so misers, fanatics, people “out of their mind,” are said to be obsessed, or possessed of devils. The healing of such is through the healer realizing that there is but one idea to be possessed of, and that is the Christ. See everyone as pure in God. See the holy One in all. Do not dwell upon the actions and speech of the personality, but think of the pure One.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” --- Matt. 5:8.

Injury and imposition overcome.

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: but I say unto you, That ye resist not evil.”
--- Matt. 5 :38, 39.

Evil has never been destroyed by meeting it with evil. Good is the only power that can annihilate evil. As long as we are sensitive to evil, and recognize it as a power, it will seem to come into our lives. By meeting the hand that is raised to strike you with loving, fearless knowledge that you cannot be injured, and your assailant does not really wish to hurt you, the threatening hand cannot touch you. By meeting the arrows of sarcasm and criticism with active love-thoughts, even though not a word is spoken by you, the unkind remarks will fall flat and stingless. Deny all sense of injury, imposition, and wrong which you may seem to have, and look faithfully for the false appearances to be taken out of your life. They may seem to remain as long as you can feel them evil; the instant you cease to care about them, they will seem, almost miraculously, to fade out of your life.
