healer knows just what expressions of Truth will reach the case. He may use argument, but will not be confined to any set formula. He will know when he should talk upon the Truth aloud to the patient and when to keep still. He exercises spiritual tact, and yet uncovers error fearlessly. He feels with true sympathy the needs of the patient and gives the meat or the milk of the Word according to the receptivity of his hearer and his degree of unfoldment.

Whoever is faithful to his intuitions in his treatments is that servant described by Jesus,

“faithful and wise . . . whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season.” To him is promised, if he only continues faithful, that he shall rule ‘over all his goods.”

3. In the method of Spiritual Perception no argument is used and often no word is spoken, either silently or audibly. The healer simply knows and his knowing becomes manifest. There is a flash of realization or a deep, still consciousness, indescribable with words, that this one is now perfectly well and whole, and this very cognition is like a great light that instantly destroys the error, called the disease, and immediately the healing is done. This was the principal method used by Jesus Christ, although at times he argued (Matt. 15: 23-28), and needed to speak the word more than once in certain cases (Mark 8:23-25). He used many methods, according to the exigency, but the same Spirit was in all his healing.
