quite unusual. Marrying an uneducated frontiersman and bearing two sons in a rough, dusty boomtown was hardly what one would have expected from a fragile, aesthetic woman. But Myrtle was not an ordinary person, and her spirit could never be confined by doing the expected. I think she always knew that if she trusted her soul's guidance, it would lead her to her spiritual destiny.

In a time when few women worked, Myrtle spent her days in the Unity offices, working side by side with her husband --- praying, healing, creating Unity. She raised three wonderful sons. She created a magazine for children called Wee Wisdom, which spanned nearly a century of publication. Myrtle was a spiritually liberated woman who dedicated her life to helping people explore the wonder within them.

I wish that I could share with my grandmother the stories that people tell me of how Unity has changed their lives. My travels have taken me around the world, and in so many unexpected places, I have met people who read Daily Word magazine or pray with Silent Unity. These people are part of a network of prayer that reaches around the planet.
