18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

The man of the earth the unspiritual man to whom the things of the spirit are foolishness. They that depart from God “shall be written in the earth” (Jer. XV11: is). “Rejoice that [because] your names are written in heaven” (Luke X:20).

Psalm 11

In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow; they make ready their arrow upon the string that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

God is to be found in two places. Externally, as ruling from heaven; Internally, in His holy temple, i.e., in man’s heart, as the Sun of the interior heaven.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
