W. John Murray began his spiritual ministry as a Catholic Priest but soon found himself in need of a faith that reflected his deepening understanding of Spirit. He left the Papacy and began studying with the finest metaphysicians including Emma Curtis Hopkins. He was ordained in Divine Science by Nona Brooks and soon began the Church of the Healing Christ in New York.
A well educated man he wrote a number of interesting works:
The Astor Lectures, 1917.
New Thoughts on Old Doctrines, 1918.
The Sanity of Optimism, 1918.
The Realm of Reality, 1922.
Mental Medicine, 1923.
The Necessity of Law, 1924.
The Murray Course in Divine Science, 1927.
