LESSON X.
OVERCOMING FEAR.

SALVATION consists in being saved from sinning and from its results— sickness, sorrow, and death. There is no escape from the exact consequences of sinful deeds and thoughts but through the knowledge of Truth, by which comes the forgiveness which destroys sin and all its unhappy fruits. |
The highest God-knowledge and power is needful sometimes to make restitution and reparation to others whom we have sinned against, and with mortals it would seem impossible, but to the Divine within you all things are possible.
The Mosaic law was a revelation to the Hebrews of moral causes and their physical effects. “Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap” (Gal. 6 :7) is the tenor of the whole Levitical law. To Cain it was revealed that he who kills will be killed again and again (“Everyone that findeth me shall slay me”—Gen. 4 :14) unless placed under the protection of the Lord, as it is written,
“Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.”
—Gen. 4:15.
He who defrauds and cheats will suffer loss either in this age or in some other. He who deceives
