4. But if your vine begins to put out a branch that does not bear fruit to the Good, or to Spirituality, you must cut it off. That is, if the mind begins to wander to material things, or to evil, or to unspiritual events and people, or to sleep, these are branches you cut off instantly by repeating the word which is your theme seven times, as in 2, and again letting your mind go, as in 3.

Write in a blank book kept for the purpose some of the principal thoughts that come to you in the silence, or, if you keep this half-hour in company with other Truth-seekers express aloud the Truths (not visions or speculations) that you have received, as Jesus said (Matt. 10:27).

For if you express what Truth you receive, you will receive more Truth to express.
