be met and vanquished when a tempting doubt begins to insinuate itself into his mind:

“Perhaps it is not the will of God that this one shall be healed; perhaps his time has come to die.”

Then the ardor of the petitioner begins to cool. He is shaken. He fears to proceed lest he be doing that which is contrary to the divine will. He weakens, he ceases to pray, and the patient goes “the way of all flesh.”

“The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.”—Jas. 5:15.

But the faith that always succeeds must be founded upon the knowledge that it is not the will of God that any man shall die. The world has hypnotized itself too long upon this subject, and must now be awakened to the truth that God does not send death any more than He sends sin.

“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.”—Rom. 6 :23.

“I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.”—Eze. 18 :32.

“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” ---I Cor. 14:33.

God is not the author of discord, such as disease and death. Ignorance is the cause of all evil manifestations, and the grossest ignorance of all is to ascribe their origin to God. Let us be healed of this ignorance.

Solomon says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; there fore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”—Prov. 4:7.
