| 9. The Fruit of Patience
THE YOUNG Truth student looked worried and fearful as she explained to the
counselor the difficulty she was encountering. "If only Dad could see that by taking
hold of an affirmation he could change his
thoughts and attitude, I know that the physical
condition would be immediately cleared up!"
The counselor looked at her lovingly and said: "I suppose a teacher hears those two words 'if only' more than any others. We are always placing a condition upon the manifestation of the good we desire, and it usually concerns the changing of another person. Don't be impatient about this, my friend. Have faith in him, in the Spirit dwelling within him."
The student broke in quickly: "But I have had patience! For the past year I've been pray ing about this, hoping he would do something that would be helpful. His eyesight is becom ing worse; and if something isn't done soon, one way or another, it may be permanently and com pletely impaired!"
